Hope as new cancer drug is found

Cancer-stricken Jade Goody is being given a new drug to help combat her spreading illness. Jade, 27, was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August, said she was starting a two-month course of Topotecan after being given the news that tumours had now been found in her liver, bowel and groin.

The chemotherapy drug is still being tested in the UK and is used by sufferers who do not respond to more conventional treatments. Jade told The Sun: "It has given me a glimmer of hope."
