Tom, Harry, Danny and Dougie have racked up seven number one singles and two number one albums and have now started their own label. With a record like that, the Living Questions shouldn't be a problem at all...
Living... For The City
Tom: I think I'd always like to have a place in London and maybe a place in the country.
Harry: Yeah, ideally I'd have a place in London and somewhere else.
Danny: The thing is I'd love to live away but I'd miss friends and family. That's the only thing that would be rubbish about moving away. And up north houses are cheaper...
Dougie: I'd like to live in Australia.
Tom: We recorded our album there.
Dougie: I'd been to Cairns before but what I've seen of Sydney is awesome. You've got the city, and the water, then around the city there's all these really cool places.
Living... On A Prayer
Harry: I think I'm still a bit unsure actually. But you used to go to church regularly, didn't you?
Danny: I was an altar boy! I went for a bit when we moved down to London but I'm sort of... on a break at the minute. If that's okay to say? I'm still a Catholic obviously, but -
Dougie: "Sorry god, I'm just taking five minutes..."
Danny: - and I'm still learning about different religions.
Tom: I don't think any of us were brought up particularly religious families...
Harry: ...and it's obviously one of the great questions...
Tom: ...And we don't know the answer!
Living... For The Weekend
Harry: I'd say two big open-topped vans, a sunny weekend, music, surfboards and drive down to Cornwall with ten mates and camp.
Dougie: And build a fire.
Danny: Barbecues. And nobody around except us lot.
Harry: With guitars.
Danny: And bongos.
Harry: And a table tennis table so you could play beer pong.
Tom: You could just chuck the ball into a glass. You don't really need to take a whole table down.
Danny: Yeah, but he said we've got two vans...
Living... In A Box
Danny: I got a really good present from Tom but I never used it. I was really chuffed with it, and it ran out before I could arrange it.
Tom: I bought him a driving day with Ferraris and Lamborghinis...
Danny: I can't believe I didn't do it. It was one of those things that ran out in less than a year, like 10 months, and it ran out.
Tom: Never mind...
Dougie: My nan got me one of those Red Letter Days to be a zookeeper for a day. I got to hang out with the reptiles, the elephants and the birds of prey, and afterwards they let us go in with the lemurs.
Danny: That was awesome. They had little freezing cold hands.
Dougie: They knew you had food, so they'd go...(mimes little freezing cold lemur hands prying at fingers).
Harry: When I first joined the band and got a bit of money, I bought my mate a surround sound DVD player because he was my best mate and I wanted to give him something.
Danny: I bought my mum a kitchen. And a bathroom.
Tom: I took my family on holiday one Christmas, the year we started making money. Took them all to Florida, that was really good.
The Living... Daylights
Tom: You know what? I really like the last one, Casino Royale. I thought that was awesome.
Dougie: Goldeneye.
Harry: No way!
Dougie: No, Goldeneye was brilliant.
Tom: And the best song has to be the Sheryl Crow one, Tomorrow Never Dies. That's an amazing song.
Harry: What about Live & Let Die though?
Tom: Oh sh*t, yes...
Harry: And Nobody Does It Better as well.
Tom: Live and Let Die AND that Sheryl Crow one.
Danny: Goldeneye (bursting into a surprinsingly good Tina Turner impression)
Harry: What is the Bond film, with Mr Kidd, walking in the desert with a basket with a scorpion in? Diamonds Are Forever?
Dougie: Sean Connery ones and Roger Moore ones are best.
Tom: I quite liked Timothy Dalton, he was good.
Harry: Now that the Bourne Trilogy has come along, and Jason Bourne can do all these epic moves and kill people like that (clicks fingers), I think they realised that Jason Bourne could kill Bond, so they had to step it up with Daniel Craig.
Tom: Oh, and that last Pierce Brosnan one with Halle Berry. Die Another Day? That was the worst one I've ever seen. That was pants. Absolutely pants.
Danny: Licence To Kill, Gladys Knight, that was awesome...
The Living... Years
Tom: Right now is the happiest we've been.
Danny: I have to stop and pinch myself sometime. Imagine if we weren't doing what we're doing, what would we do? Whatever it would be would suck. We don't take this for granted.
Tom: Now is best time. Well, either now or when we started, and moved into the house together. That was really good times. Actually now feels like then. We're having a really good time, we're excited, and our personal lives are all really good.
Danny: And I love doing stuff like when we went camping in Cornwall, having weekends where we can just go off and do things like that, makes it so much better.
Dougie: Just having the freedom to do that.
Tom: And recording in Australia, that was amazing. And we've got the label, Super Records, that's amazing. It's very exciting at the moment. I think we've been really lucky to stick around and we've got this really loyal fanbase that's grown up with us. We've been very lucky. Without them, we wouldn't have been able to leave Island and do our own thing. Now our new single, One For The Radio, is out on 14th July, then the album's out free with the Mail On Sunday on the 20th July. That gives us the opportunity to get the album out to nearly three million people in one day, it's a great opportunity. We think it's the best album we've made and we want to get it out to as many people as possible.
Danny: And they seem really enthusiastic about it all.
Living... TV
Tom: We all like the big American shows: Lost, Entourage-
Harry: 24
Tom: Heroes, Desperate Housewives... We don't have time to watch them on TV though so we get the box sets.
Danny: I watch more Bravo and Discovery, normal channels I get a bit bored with.
Harry: I go straight to the sports really. Football, cricket, rugby, golf...
Danny: I missed the Euros. I used to get so excited but we were busy.
Harry: Derren Brown, he's definitely one of our TV favourites.
Dougie: Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins, the Friday Night project.
Harry: Justin Lee Collins does lots of cool, funny stuff. That 180 thing, when he was laying darts, that was good.
Danny: I like that UFC too, the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Tom: On tour I watch that daytime show Longleat, behind the scenes at the zoo. That's so good and it's always on just as I'm waking up. (Turns to Dougie) You'd love it.
Danny: Have you seen Diet Doctors? All these tips on why you get cracked lips or have no cuticles. That's epic. I watched one, we were on tour and when we're on tour we enjoy a few beers, and it was about the effects of alcohol, and I went downstairs going "gimme some fruit!"
McFly's new single, One For The Radio, is released on 14th July 2008. The album, Radioactive, will then, indeed, be given away with the Mail On Sunday on 20th July 2008.
