As well as being one of the UK’s top models of recent years, Lisa has also carved out a hugely successful career in television and radio and 2009 is set to be one of the busiest yet.
As well as co-presenting the Capital Radio Breakfast Show with Johnny Vaughan, London’s number one breakfast show, Lisa has also just begun filming series 5 of Living’s hugely successful Britain’s Next Top Model which will air later this year.
2008 ended in a sequinned whirlwind for Lisa as she and her dance partner, Brendan Cole, made it to the finals of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing. Earlier in the year, the beautiful brunette had hosted series 4 of Britain’s Next Top Model, starred in Celebrity Apprentice on BBC1 for Sports Relief, co-presented BBC2’s perennial favourite, Through The Keyhole, alongside Sir David Frost, and co-presented the BBC’s coverage of Royal Ascot.
Having been brought up in Welwyn Garden City, Lisa enrolled at the Italia Conti School of Performing Arts to study acting and dance. However she was soon scouted at a nightclub by a leading modelling agency and instead began her highly successful modelling career.
As well as numerous fashion shoots for the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan, Lisa also starred in advertising campaigns for big brands including Mercedes Benz, Martini, Lynx, Gossard and Fabergé. It was, however, her appearance on the Kellogg’s Special K commercial that initially led to interest from TV broadcasters, enquiring about possible presenting opportunities.
Starting on MTV Select, Lisa began honing her presenting skills and has since regularly worked in both the UK and US presenting for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Living TV, Fox, VH-1 and MTV. Lisa’s presenting credits include LA Pool Party (BBC), movie specials (C4), Top of the Pops (BBC), All Access (VH-1), the Oscars (VH-1) and slots on This Morning (ITV).
