• Loves anything girlie and pink
• Wants to be a princess on the day
• Loves celebrity weddings and wants her day to be a less tacky version of Jordan’s wedding
Date: June 2009
Budget: £15,000
Location: Ceremony at St Leonard & St Mary C of E Church and the reception at Castle Park rugby club, home of the Doncaster Knights
Wedding Theme: Traditional princess
Nightmare wedding: Anything that is badly organised or tacky
Bride’s Personality: Vicky is very enthusiastic and chatty. She loves anything girlie or pink. She has been planning her wedding for over 18 months and wants it to be similar to a celebrity wedding. She admits to being wedding mad and loving all things bridal.
Their wedding: They had a traditionalal church wedding with hymns and readings, followed by a reception at their local rugby club - the home of the Doncaster Knights. The room at the club had a marquee in it for the sit down meal and reception.
They had photos taken on the rugby pitch. There is a lot of pink and white involved in the wedding, from pink on her the dress to the groom’s ivory coloured suit with pink waistcoat and cravat.
She wanted to create an event, like a celebrity wedding, and wanted everyone to remember her big day. She also chose the band who played at Wayne Rooney’s 18th birthday to play at her wedding.
The Dress: She chose a dress with plenty of pink on it, as pink is her favourite colour is a running theme throughout the day. She chose one with a detachable corset so she can wear it on her first anniversary.
