She left Blue Peter in 1992, and went on to present or appear in an amazing range of shows, including What's Up Doc?, Practical Parenting, Looking Good, Heaven and Earth, City Hospital, Baby Baby, Girl's Talk, Karaoke Challenge and Well Being. She also tried her hand at home improvement in Simply DIY and A Weekend's Work. She also presented the game show Under Offer and Dear Denise as well as appearances on Stars in their Eye', Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Richard and Judy and The Paul O'Grady Show.
In 2008, after immense pressure from her loyal and dedicated fans, Yvette along with her husband Karl Beattie created the first channel to be dedicated to the paranormal genre to much acclaim, launching on the Europe wide sky network on the 9th June. Currently recording, presenting and producing iconic and groundbreaking series for the channel, Yvette’s workload shows no sign of relenting! She is soon to be seen acting in a comedy production for her own channel. Her performance will surprise and delight her loyal legions of fans and doubtless gain her many more. Her star is clearly in the ascendance.
But it's as the face, heart, soul and scream of the world's leading television ghost hunt that Yvette is best known. Alongside her husband Karl, she started Antix Productions, the company behind the global success that is Most Haunted. They have two children, William and Mary.
Producers who have worked with her, say Yvette is one of the most talented presenters they have ever employed! Yvette is an excellent interviewer with journalistic capabilities.
