Deriving from a Greek word meaning to divide or apportion, demons are believed to be malevolent beings from the supernatural world, with Christians holding them as fallen angels. They are often depicted as creatures to be conjured and controlled for purposes of evil.
During the 16th century, it was believed that each demon had more strength to accomplish his mission during a particular month of the year. In this way, the demon and his assistants’ powers would work better during that month. January is Belial's month.
Belial is the demon of lies and guilt. As a Prince of Hell, he commands 80 Legions of Demons and is specifically the Prince reigning over the Northern Reaches of Hell. He controls the element of earth and reigns over the Earth demons. Possibly some of the spirits we already seemed to have raised during our investigations.
