London Fashion Week

Fashion focuses on the UK's capital this September as London Fashion Week kicks off. Housed at the Natural History Museum and running from 14th - 19th, the event showcases top notch designers from around the world. Presenting spring/summer 2009 collections on the catwalk and via The Exhibition, this is one event no fashionista wants to miss.

If you're after a beautiful bod then it'll make sense to attend The Body Beautiful Show 19th-21st at Earls Court. Bursting with beauty advice, products to try and buy and celebrity experts, this should definitely be a firm date for your diary. Plus you'll walk away with a free goodie bag!

Keep an eye out for the hottest British designer talent this month by paying attention to the LFW: Fashion Fringe awards. The grand finale will showcase the finalists spring/summer 2009 catwalk collections, while the judging panel - which includes Donatella Versace - will choose the winner, a designer often tipped to be the next big thing.

Luxury British menswear and accessories retailer Home of Alfred Dunhill opens a brand new store in London on the 17th. Incorporating a barber's shop, spa, cinema and tailoring service, as well as a private members' club, it's bound to prove a pretty popular hangout!

National Magazine Company are the geniuses behind the likes of Cosmopolitan and Company, and their 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty festival this September will reveal all the hot off the press inside info on the latest looks and trends. Held across various locations in the UK, it features everything from fashion shows to makeovers to ever so glam cocktail parties!

If accessories are your thing, then you won't want to miss Goldsmith's Fair this September. Featuring contemporary, and totally irresistible, designer jewellery made by the UK's most talented designers, you're bound to bag a beautiful bargain.

London's not the only city playing host to a whirlwind of fashionistas. Paris, New York, Milan and even Glasgow will be showcasing designers' spring/summer 2009 collections this month. With this many catwalk shows and exhibitions going on, popping along in those killer heels might not be such a good idea.

She's become a firm fashionista favourite since her star turn in The Devil Wears Prada, and now the radiant Anne Hathaway becomes the face of Lancôme's new fragrance. Launched throughout the world this month, Anne joins the likes of fellow Lancôme spokesmodels Uma Thurman, Kate Winslet and Drew Barrymore, as she represents the brand across the globe.

After launching her uber successful range for fashion giants Topshop in the UK, Kate Moss is reported to be heading to New York this month for the opening of Topshop's first standalone store in the Big Apple. Let's hope the Americans lap up her lines!
